IBM presents the data path of the optical ADDAPT receiver at IEEE International Solid-States Circuits Conference (ISSCC) in February 2017, San Francisco , USA. ISSCC is the foremost global forum for solid-state circuits and systems-on-a-chip. The receiver data path was successfully characterized up to 64 Gb/s optically while just consuming 1.4 pJ/bit.To the best of our knowledge, this is the highest data rate with superior energy efficiency among previously reported CMOS optical RXs.
The publication about the ADDAPT results on 54 Gbit/s OOK transmission using single-mode VCSEL up to 2.2 km of multimode fiber is one of the most downloaded paper in Electronics Letters in May 2016. For further information please see Electronics Letters.
The joint work of VI Systems and Warsaw Univerity of Technology on VCSEL devices and optical transmission techniques in ADDAPT lead to two leading edge publications at renowned Optical Fiber Communications Conference and Exposition (OFC) which takes place 20-24 March 2016 in Anaheim, USA. On 10 March 2016, Finetech hold the Micro Assembly Day 2016 in Berlin, Germany. The ADDAPT project partner Argotech reported about their expertise in packaging for microelectronics and highlighted the good approaches and reults which where achieved in the RF packaging for the ADDAPT project. During SBMO/IEEE MTT-S International Microwave and Optoelectronics Conference (IMOC) which took place from 03-06 November 2015 in Porto de Galinhas, Brazil, TU Dresden presented the reasearch reults on an adaptivity method successfully implemented in an integrated circuit.
An overview about the ADDAPT project will be given by the coordinator on Wedenesday, 27 May 2015 at the XXXVI-th IEEE-SPIE Joint Symposium on Photonics, Web Engineering, Electronics for Astronomy and High Energy Physics Experiments in Wilga village, Poland. The corresponding article will be published in the Proceedings of SPIE and therefore the work of ADDAPT is made worldwide visible.
The ADDAPT project was presented at Science Picnic, Warsaw, 9 May 2015. Continue reading
The ADDAPT project show up at the Science Picnic of Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre taking place on 9 May 2015 in the National Stadium, Warsaw, Poland. Continue reading
The ADDAPT concortium member VI Systems (VIS) will present project results with regard to high-speed modulated and near-field coupled vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSEL) at the SPIE Photonics West OPTO which takes place from February 13-18 2015 in San Francisco, US.
