The ADDAPT project show up at the Science Picnic of Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre taking place on 9 May 2015 in the National Stadium, Warsaw, Poland. Initiated by our our project partner Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) the project idea, objectives and results are presented and VCSELs form our partner VI Systems are demonstrated.
About the Picnic: The Science Picnic of Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre is Europe’s largest outdoor event aimed to promote science. Every year, it attracts crowds of visitors to Warszaw. Scientific institutions, universities, research institutes, museums, cultural institutions, and foundations related to science and science clubs present their achievements and reveal the behind-the-scenes aspects of their everyday work. With the aid of experiments, demonstrations and interactive exhibits, they comprehensibly present science to audiences of various ages, qualifications, professions and countries. The Picnic represents different scientific disciplines: natural science, social science, and humanities. Each edition involves about 250 institutions from Poland and abroad.
